Before beginning, make sure you have updated to the latest version of Windows 10.
Easy Method
Download the zip here. It's safe, I promise. If you prefer not to download anything, follow the manual method below. Once downloaded, open up the zip and find the .reg file and run it. Click allow on all the prompts. Once completed, restart your computer and you should have a fresh new Start Menu.
Manual Method
Step 1:
On your keyboard press the Windows key and 'R' at the same time. After the run window pops up, type regedit and hit enter. Allow it to open. This will open the registry editor.
Step 2:
At the top of the window, paste
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FeatureManagement\Overrides
Step 3:
Right-click in the Overrides key and hover over New and click Key. Name it 0 (yes, as in the number).
Step 4:
Make a new key within 0 and name it 2093230218
You should now have a structure that looks like this
Step 5:
Within that final key, right-click and click on New then DWORD. Name it EnabledState
Step 6:
Open up EnabledState and under Value Data, enter 2 then click OK
Step 7:
Create another new DWORD value as you did before, but this time call it EnabledStateOptions
Step 8:
Open up your newly created EnabledStateOptions value and type 0 if it isn't already, then click OK again.
You're done!
It should all look like this now. If everything looks good, restart your PC and you should see the new Start Menu
